Our homage to the Tangie by Crockett/DNA Genetics! This genetic also served as the foundational cultivar for Quentin Terpentino’s Tangie three generations ago. It presents two phenotypes, with both the indica- and sativa-dominant types occasionally displaying leaf mutations. These mutations are caused by recessive genes and are therefore relatively rare. The mutants are in no way inferior to their siblings, though they do look more striking and “funky.” The tall, mutated, sativa-leaning phenotype in particular absolutely requires a larger pot than its sisters, as it doesn’t tolerate small containers or overwatering well. Additionally, this pheno is highly sensitive to stress and can hermaphroditize if not handled properly. For this reason, beginners should currently avoid this phenotype. Further stabilization will follow.
